Enable the DHCP server of the device: Checking it to mean the DHCP server is enabled on this device. Name: Name of custom address pool. IP address range: Sets the range for Intranet users to obtain the IP address. Subnet mask/gateway address: The subnet mask/gateway addresses assigned by the DHCP server to the intranet computers, mobile phones and other clients automatically. Lease term: The leasing time for the Intranet computers to obtain the IP address assigned by the device (Unit: Minutes). Primary DHCP server: The primary DNS server IP address assigned by the DHCP server to the Intranet computers, mobile phones and clients automatically. Secondary DNS server: The secondary DNS server IP address assigned by the DHCP server to the Intranet computers, mobile phones and other clients automatically. Option43: By modifying the variable length fields of option 43 in the DHCP protocol packets, it is used to carry the IP address of AC, and let AP analyze the AC address carried by option 43, so it is used for discovering AC. There are four options, Disable, HEX fixed-length, ASCII indefinite length, Custom. 9.1.3 Security settings To make access authentication for such clients as computers, mobile phones that want to join the service area, password authentication and free of authentication are now provided. Password authentication provides three wireless security mechanisms, namely WEP, WPA/WPA2 and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK. The following sections will introduce the configuration parameters and their meanings. 9.1.3.1 WEP Figure 9- 4 WEP Authentication type: When using the WEP encryption mechanism, three options, automatic, open systems, Shared keys are provided: Auto: Means that the device can automatically choose Open System or Pre-shared key mode according to the requests of wireless clients. Open system: At this point, the wireless clients can pass the authentication and associate with the wireless devices on the premise of not providing authentication key.
