Smoothtop Surface Smoothtop Surface Notes: , Cooktop may emit light smoke and odor the first few times the cooktop is used. This is normal , Smoothtop eooktops retain heat for a period of time after the element is turned off. Turn the dements off a few minutes before food is compHeteHycooked and use the retained heat to compHete cooking. When the hot surface Hightturns off, the cooking area wiHHbe cooH enough to touch.
