Electrical connection  Installation, repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous. Check that the voltage, frequency and fuse rating shown on the data plate match the household mains supply. The power outlet must be accessible after installation. Do not use an extension cord to connect the dishwasher to the mains. Danger of overheating! See data plate on the right side of the door. A damaged power cord must only be replaced with a genuine Miele cord by a Miele service technician. Grounding instructions THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE GROUNDED. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electric shock by providing a path of least resistance for the electrical current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.  Improper connection of the equipment grounding conductor can result in electric shock. Do not modify the plug provided with the appliance; if it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
