6. Personal Settings 6.1 Set Date & Time Providing you have subscribed to your network's Caller ID service, the date and time is set automatically for all cordless handsets and corded base every time a call is received. The date and time is recorded with each answering machine message you receive. If you do not have a Caller ID service you can set the date and time manually. P 1. Press P 2. Press , Press to select Date & Time. and edit the time in 12 hour format. to toggle AM/PM settings. P 3. Press P 4. Press to continue entering the date. to save the settings. 6.2 Set Ringers WARNING When the phone is ringing, avoid holding the earpiece too close to your ear as it may damage your hearing. 6.2.1 Set the ringer tone 1. 2. Press Press P P and , to select to select Ringer Ringer Tone. Setup. P , 3. Press and to select a ringer melody. The current ringer melody will be played for around 5 seconds. A total of 10 melodies are available for selection, including 5 polyphonic and 5 normal P ones. 4. Press to save. 6.2.2 Set the ringer volume 1. Press P and , to select Ringer Setup. 2. Press P and , to select Ringer Volume. P , 3. Press and to increase or decrease the volume level. (6 levels are available, including ringer off. The corresponding volume effect will be P played while browsing the volume option.) 4. Press to save. 6.2.3 Key tones on/off When you press a key on the corded base you hear a beep.
