12.6 Auto Talk On/Off With auto talk is turned on, you can answer a call just by < J lifting the cordless handset off the charger. If turned off, you will have to press or to answer a call. The default setting is Off. 1. Press P and , to select SETUP HS. 2. Press P and , to select AUTO TALK. P , 3. Press P 4. Press and to turn on/off auto talk. to save. 12.7 Registration Up to 5 cordless handsets can be registered to one corded base. The original cordless handset is preregistered to use. Additional cordless handsets must be registered to the corded base before you can use them. To register an additional cordless handset, 1. Press P and , to select SETUP HS. 2. Press P and , to select REGISTRATION. P , 3. Press and to select YES or NO. P 4. Select YES and press to enter the registration procedure as below: 1. Place the unregistered cordless handset on the M charger. 2. Press and hold for 4 seconds on corded M base. 3. Release once IN USE LED is flashing. 4. A confirmation tone is generated if registration is successful. HANDSET X is displayed where X denotes the number of cordless handsets and the phone goes back to idle. Personal Settings 47
