Power-Saving Modes The Xircom RealPort Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56 adapter has three modes that can be used to reduce power consumption by disabling a function that is not being used: Network-only, Modemonly, and Network & Modem (default). Before using Modem-only with Network Services installed, be sure the Network-disabled hardware profile box is checked under My Computer, Properties, Hardware Profiles, Properties, Network. Otherwise Network Services may report errors based on its failure to find the Xircom network driver.
