This will change if you upgrade your extender. This is the version of the physical device. These are the current settings that you configured in the Basic Settings screen. The Media Access Control address, the physical address, being used by the Internet (WAN) port of the extender. The IP address being used by the Internet port of the extender. The default IP address of the extender is 192.168.1.250. If no address is shown, or is 0.0.0.0, the extender cannot connect to the Internet. The IP subnet mask being used by the Internet (WAN) port of the extender. The assigned default gateway address (the local network address) that the extender is connected to. If it is assigned dynamically, and no Internet connection exists, this is blank or 0.0.0.0. The Domain Name Server addresses being used by the extender. A Domain Name Server translates human language URLs, such as http:// www.netgear.com, into IP addresses. If disabled, the extender is configured to use a fixed IP address. If enabled, the extender is configured to obtain an IP address dynamically. These are the current settings that you configured in the Wireless Settings screen. The wireless network name (SSID) being used by the wireless port of the extender. The default is NETGEAR_EXT. The geographic region where the extender being used. It might be illegal to use the wireless features of the extender in some parts of the world. Indicates the extender communication mode: 802.11g and 802.11b, 802.11g only, 802.11b only, 108 Mbps only, or Auto 108 Mbps. Field
Description
Firmware Version
This is the version of the current software the extender is using. This will
change if you upgrade your extender.
Hardware Version
This is the version of the physical device.
IP Settings
These are the current settings that you configured in the Basic Settings
screen.
MAC Address
The Media Access Control address, the physical address, being used by
the Internet (WAN) port of the extender.
IP Address
The IP address being used by the Internet port of the extender. The
default IP address of the extender is
192.168.1.250
. If no address is
shown, or is 0.0.0.0, the extender cannot connect to the Internet.
IP Subnet Mask
The IP subnet mask being used by the Internet (WAN) port of the

Default Gateway
The assigned default gateway address (the local network address) that
the extender is connected to. If it is assigned dynamically, and no Internet
connection exists, this is blank or 0.0.0.0.
Domain Name Server
The Domain Name Server addresses being used by the extender. A
Domain Name Server translates human language URLs, such as http://
www.netgear.com, into IP addresses.
DHCP Client
If disabled, the extender is configured to use a fixed IP address.
If enabled, the extender is configured to obtain an IP address
dynamically.
Wireless Settings
These are the current settings that you configured in the Wireless
Settings screen.
Wireless Network Name
(SSID)
The wireless network name (SSID) being used by the wireless port of the
extender. The default is NETGEAR_EXT.
Country/Region
The geographic region where the extender being used. It might be illegal
to use the wireless features of the extender in some parts of the world.
Channel
Identifies the channel of the wireless port being used. Click the link to the

for the
frequencies used on each channel.
Operation Mode
Indicates the extender communication mode: 802.11g and 802.11b,
802.11g only, 802.11b only, 108 Mbps only, or Auto 108 Mbps.
