The cache memory Note: The information or services you have accessed are stored in the cache of your phone. A cache is a buffer memory, which is used to store data temporarily. If you have tried to access or have accessed confidential information requiring passwords (for example, your bank account), empty the cache of your phone after each use. To empty the cache, • while browsing, press Options and select Clear the cache, or • in standby mode, press Menu, and select Services, and Clear the cache. ■ SIM services (Menu 14) In addition to the functions available on the phone, your SIM card may provide additional network services that you can access in this menu, which is shown only if it is supported by your SIM card. The name and contents of the menu depend entirely on the service available. You can set the phone to show you the confirmation messages sent between your phone and the network when you are using the SIM services by selecting the option Yes within the menu Confirm SIM service actions in Phone settings. Note that accessing these services may involve sending a text message (SMS) or making a phone call for which you may be charged. Copyright © 2003 Nokia. All rights reserved. 137
