SIM services Application access - to restrict the application from accessing the network ■ Download an application Your phone supports J2ME Java applications. Make sure that the application is compatible with your phone before downloading it. Important: Only install and use applications and other software from sources that offer adequate security and protection against harmful software. You can download new Java applications and games in different ways. Use the Nokia Application Installer from PC Suite to download the applications to your phone, or select Menu > Applications > Options > Downloads > App. downloads; the list of available bookmarks is shown. See "Bookmarks," p. 79. For the availability of different services, pricing, and tariffs, contact your service provider. Your device may have some bookmarks loaded for sites not affiliated with Nokia. Nokia does not warrant or endorse these sites. If you choose to access them, you should take the same precautions, for security or content, as you would with any Internet site. 16. SIM services Your SIM card may provide additional services. You can access this menu only if it is supported by your SIM card. The name and contents of the menu depend on the available services. For availability and information on using SIM card services, contact your SIM card vendor. This may be the service provider, network operator, or other vendor. To set the phone to show you the confirmation messages sent between your phone and the network when you are using the SIM services, select Menu > Settings > Phone > Confirm SIM actions > Yes. Accessing these services may involve sending messages or making a phone call for which you may be charged. 77
