Erasing a Memory Location

c1caus.frm Page 27 Thursday, December 19, 1996 12:46 PM To move the contents of a memory location: 1 Recall the phone number and name to be moved as described in Recalling Names and Phone Numbers on page 25. 2 Press the MENU key and scroll to the menu function STORE TO MEMORY by using the key and press OK, or press MENU 1 as a shortcut access method. The message ALREADY STORED is briefly displayed, and then the phone prompts you to move the information to the first empty memory location (e.g., MOVE TO 5?), or prompts you to enter the memory location where you want to move the information to, if there is not a free memory location (MOVE TO?). 3 Press OK or first enter a specific memory location number and then press OK. • If the location you entered in is already in use, the phone prompts you to overwrite the contents of the location (REPLACE CONTENT?). If you want to replace the information, press OK. The message MOVED will be briefly displayed confirming that the information has been moved to the memory location displayed in the upper right corner of the display. • When the MOVE TO or REPLACE CONTENT prompt is displayed and you do not want to continue, either press the CLR key, or wait until the message NOT MOVED appears. The phone exits the move function, and the information you tried to move will then reappear on the display. You can reattempt to move it as described above, or you can clear the display by pressing and holding the CLR key.
