FACE FOCUS Highlighting a face in the picture Your subject's face will be sharp and in focus, and the background will appear soft and out of focus. This feature is applicable on the largest and/or closest face in the frame. The subject must be facing towards the camera. • Select the picture with XY, and press . • There may be cases in which the camera cannot detect a face. INDEX Making an index picture from a movie SELECT FIRST FRAME 00:00 /00:34 SET OK This function extracts 9 frames from a movie and saves them as a new picture (INDEX) containing thumbnails of each frame. • Use XY to select a movie and press . • Use the arrow pad to select the first frame and press . Select the last frame in the same way and press . EDIT ...Cutting a part of the movie SELECT FIRST FRAME 00:00 /00:34 SET OK Select a part of the movie you wish to save, overwrite the original file with it, or save it as a new file. • Select [NEW FILE] or [OVERWRITE] and press . • Use the arrow pad to select the first frame and press . IMAGE] or [ALL ERASE], but they are all erased by formatting. • Select the picture with XY, and protect it by selecting [ON] with ON. You can protect several frames in succession. 9 is displayed when the picture is protected. EXIT OK y ...Rotating pictures U +90° / V 0° / T -90° Pictures taken with the camera held vertically are displayed horizontally. This function lets you turn such pictures so that they are displayed vertically.
