Before using this unit Remote control sensor 3 approx. 5m Insert the batteries into the remote control according to the illustration. 8 0 0 I Using the remote control The following information will help you get optimal use from the remote control. • Place this unit away from direct bright light, which can prevent proper operation of the remote control. • Make sure audio rack doors do not have tinted glass. If this unit is placed behind such a door, this may prevent proper remote control operation. • Using other remote controls in the same room as this unit's remote control may cause interference. Loading the batteries Remove the battery compartment cover by opening it as shown in the illustration. Load four R03 (UM-4) AAA size batteries into the RC307M with the plus (+) and minus (-) terminals positioned as indicated by the diagram inside the battery compartment and close the cover. • When the batteries lose their power, the indicator on the remote control will flash when any button is pressed. • Remove dead batteries immediately to avoid corrosion damage. • To avoid potential corrosion damage, never mix old batteries with new ones. • Learned codes are not lost even when the batteries are replaced. They may be lost, however, if battery replacement is not completed within an hour. In this case, the unit must learn the codes again. • The manganese batteries supplied with this unit have a service life of approximately six months, depending on frequency of usage. • The TX-SV828THX comes equipped with R03 (UM-4) AAA manganese batteries, but we recommend that long-life alkaline batteries LRO3 (AM-4) AAA be used when replacing the batteries. 6
