Setting Flash 13 (See "Introduction to Optional Accessories" on page 145) When shooting stills, you can use the optional VWFLH3*1 Flash (P. 145). Refer to the Flash manual for instructions. Setting of Flash AUTO ON OFF On-screen information A*2 Manner of emitting light Automatically emits light in dark place or in a place lit from rear. Always emits light regardless of brightness. No light emission. Note: • The DVD Video Camera automatically sets the shutter speed between 1/800 and 1/30 second (between 1/800 and 1/10 second if Program AE has been set to Low Light) depending on subject brightness (P. 80). • The available range of the Flash is about 1 - 4 m. • See "Switching Quality of Still Image (Quality)" on page 85 if you want to change the still quality mode. • Dark subjects may not be in clear focus even if the Flash is used. It is recommended that you illuminate a subject when recording in a dark place. • When you use accessories for hot shoe (only optional VW-FLH3), the power is supplied by this DVD Video Camera. (Only for VDR-M75PP/VDR-M95PP.) • The built-in flash cannot be used together with the separately sold Flash. • If a separately sold Flash is connected, it is given priority. (Only VDR-M95PP.) *1 Only for VDR-M75PP/VDR-M95PP *2 Without light emission, the " A" display is cleared when you press the Photo shot button halfway.
