Switch to Spot AF mode Depress the Image button so that the (SPOT AF) appears on the LCD panel indicating that you are in the spot AF mode. Focus on the subject Focus on the subject with the Spot AF frame (0 ) in the center of the viewfinder. • When the main subject is out of the AF frame in the center of the viewfinder when composing your picture, use the focus-lock technique. (See page 30.) • The lamp indications and picture-taking procedure are similar as explained for multi-beam AF. 29
