Taking Pictures 7 Press the 4 button. The AF Setting is saved. 8 Press the 3 button twice. The camera returns to capture status with the current setting. • In Y mode, [Focusing Area] can only be set to J (Multiple) or K (Spot). • In 5, z and e mode, [Focusing Area] is set to J (Multiple). • In C mode, [Focusing Area] is fixed to W. • If you use the [Focusing Area] function frequently, you can save time by assigning it to the { Setting of Green button. (p.57) Setting the Focus Limiter You can limit the lens focusing range according to the conditions. 4 Set the [Focus Limiter] to O (On) to limit the focus to far distances from normal range during normal shooting and to close distances during macro shooting. This enables faster focusing. 1 Press the 3 button in A mode. The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears. 2 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [AF Setting]. 3 Press the four-way controller (5). The AF Setting screen appears. 4 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Focus Limiter]. 5 Use the four-way controller (45) to select O (On) or P (Off).
