Taking Pictures 4 4 5 Press the shutter release button fully. Recording starts. Recording can continue until the built-in memory/SD memory card is full, or the size of the recorded movie reaches 2 GB. • The flash will not discharge in C mode. • The focus mode can be changed before recording starts. • In C mode, AE metering is set to multi-segment metering. • When the Focus Mode is set to \, you can adjust the focus before recording starts and during recording. • You can use the optical zoom and digital zoom before recording starts and during recording. • Changing the LCD monitor display mode by pressing the 4/W button while recording a movie will not display the histogram. Playing Back Movies 1p.125 Keeping the Shutter Release Button Pressed If you keep the shutter release button pressed for more than one second, recording will continue for as long as you keep the button pressed. Shooting stops when you take your finger off the shutter release button. Taking Still Pictures During Movie Recording (Still picture capture) Press the Green button during movie recording to take still pictures while continuing to record the movie. After the Green button is pressed, a still picture is taken and stored. When the battery level indicator is at (battery is exhausted), the flash will not discharge when taking still pictures during movie recording. 108
