When using a Type D flash (except AF200SA) in the MS (manual sync) or M (manual) modes, or when using a Type E flash : set the camera's exposure mode to the Aperture-Priority AE, Manual or Bulb Mode. The Program, and Shutter-Priority AE modes cannot be used because the actual required aperture value may change. Using other type of a flash Use of non-Pentax flash units may damage the camera.
