Flash-OFF Mode This mode forcibly prevents automatic firing of the flash, thus allowing available light photography in museums, churches, etc. where flash photography is prohibited. 1. Press the Mode Button to make the (0) symbol is displayed on LCD. 2. Press the Release Button and the shutter will be tripped without flash. • The camera is now set for programmed AE photography at up to 1/3 seconds without flash. • Use of a tripod is often advisable in Flash OFF mode to prevent blurring due to slow shutter speeds. 17 Slow-Speed Sync Mode With this mode, beautiful pictures can be easily taken at night. The camera automatically selects the optimum settings for pictures of night scenery, pictures of people at night, and evening or day landscape pictures. 1.
