The self-timer lamp starts blinking slowly and blinks rapidly two seconds before the shutter is released. Also the audible PCV signal is heard and the rate increases for the last two seconds. ✍ MEMO • The audible PCV signal can be turned off. See page 87. • To stop the self-timer operation after it has been activated, press the drive mode button again. ✍ MEMO Preventing stray light entering the eyepiece • When using accessories such as the finder cap, remove the Eyecup FM by pulling it sideways (either to the right or left) then pull it towards you. • Under exposure may occur if light enters the viewfinder during self-timer operation in all auto exposure modes. When using accessories such as the finder
cap, remove the Eyecup F

by pulling it
sideways (either to the right or left) then pull
it towards you.
Under exposure may occur if light enters
the viewfinder during self-timer operation in
all auto exposure modes. If you intend to
move away from the viewfinder, attach the
supplied finder cap or use AE lock function
(see page 86).
