DELAY (Auto delay) What it does Option(s) Adjusts the amount of treble. -6 to +6 (dB) Default: 0 (dB) With the Sound Retriever function, DSP processing is used to compensate for the loss of audio data upon compression, improving the sound's sense of density and modulation. OFFd ON May improve the quality of sound in a noisy source (for example, OFF video tape with lots of background noise) when switched on. ON Localizes dialog in the center channel to make it stand out from other background sounds in a TV or movie soundtrack. By moving from UP1 through UP2 and UP3 up to UP4, you can make the sound source seem to relocate upwards. OFF FLAT UP1/UP2/UP3/UP4e Specifies how dual mono encoded Dolby Digital soundtracks should be played. Dual mono is not widely used, but is sometimes necessary when two languages need to be sent to separate channels. CH1 - Channel 1 is heard only CH2 - Channel 2 is heard only CH1 CH2 - Both channels heard from front speakers Adjusts the level of dynamic range for movie soundtracks optimized for Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD and DTS-HD Master Audio (you may need to use this feature when listening to surround sound at low volumes). AUTOf MAX MID OFF Some audio sources include ultra-low bass tones. Set the LFE attenuator as necessary to prevent the ultra-low bass tones from distorting the sound from the speakers. The LFE is not limited when set to 0 dB, which is the recommended value. When set to -5 dB, -10 dB, -15 dB or -20 dB, the LFE is limited by the respective degree. When OFF is selected, no sound is output from the LFE channel. 0dB/ -5dB/ -10dB/ -15dB/ -20dB OFF Brings out detail in SACDs by maximizing the dynamic range (during digital processing). 0 (dB) +6 (dB) Specifies the routing of the HDMI audio signal out of this receiver (amp) or through to a TV. When THROUGH is selected, no sound is output from this receiver. AMP THROUGH This feature automatically corrects the audio-to-video delay OFF between components connected with an HDMI cable. The audio ON delay time is set depending on the operational status of the display connected with an HDMI cable. The video delay time is automatically adjusted according to the audio delay time.i 73 En
