04 Basic Functions Sound Mode Dolby Pro Logic II Mode DSP (Digital Signal Processor) Function DSP DSP regulates the volume level and decreases drastic volume changes when you change channels or during a scene transitions. When you press the DSP button, it cycles through the following functions: SMART SOUND ¨ MP3 ENHANCER ¨ POWER BASS ¨ DSP MODE OFF • SMART SOUND : Regulates the volume level and deceases drastic volume changes when you change channels or during a scene transition. • MP3 ENHANCER : This also helps enhance your sound experience (ex. mp3 music). You can upscale your MP3 level sound (24 kHz, 8bit) to CD level sound (44.1 kHz, 16bit). • POWER BASS : This function stresses low tones providing deep, powerful sound effects. SFE (Sound Field Effect) MODE You can set the SFE mode best suited SFE MODE for the type of music you are listening to. When you press the SFE MODE button, it cycles through the following functions: You can select the desired Dolby Pro Logic II audio mode. Press the PL II button. Setting the speakers with DPL IIz 1. Set the DPL IIz of speaker settings to "On". (For further details, refer to page 37.) 2. Press the PL II button of the remote control until "DPL IIz" or "DPL IIz OFF" appears on the display. Set to "DPL IIz" to enable sound reproduction from front center/height speakers. DPL IIz DPL IIz OFF You can listen to a 2CH sound source in 7.1CH surround sound with all speakers active. - A specific speaker(s) may not be output depending on the input signal. Also provides a clear vocal as if listening in a concert hall but, less powerful than HALL1. JAZZ Recommended setting for Jazz. CHURCH Gives the feel of being in a grand church. ROCK Recommended setting for Rock. SFE OFF Select this for normal listening. MUSIC CINEMA PROLOGIC MATRIX DPL IIx GAME STEREO When listening to music, you can experience sound effects as if you are listening to the actual performance. Adds realism to the movie soundtrack. You can listen to a 2CH sound source in 7.1CH surround sound with all speakers active. - A specific speaker(s) may not be output depending on the input signal. DSP (Digital Signal Processor) Function
DSP regulates the volume level and
decreases drastic volume changes
when you change channels or during
a scene transitions.
When you press the
DSP
button, it cycles
through the following functions:
SMART SOUND
MP3 ENHANCER
POWER
BASS
DSP MODE OFF
SMART SOUND
: Regulates the volume level
and deceases drastic volume changes when
you change channels or during a scene
transition.
MP3 ENHANCER
: This also helps enhance your
sound experience (ex. mp3 music). You can
