Lock Mode When the phone is in Lock Mode, you can receive calls and messages, but cannot place outgoing calls (except for emergency numbers). Lock Mode also restricts access to menus and the Volume key. Your phone offers two ways of locking/unlocking. Without a lock code: 1. To lock the phone, press and hold the key. 2. To unlock the phone, follow the prompts on the display. With a lock code: 1. To lock the phone, select MENU ➔ Settings ➔ Phone Settings ➔ Security. Enter the lock code (by default, the last four digits of your phone number). 2. Choose Lock Phone. You can choose to have the phone enter Lock Mode automatically every time you Power Up the phone. 3. To unlock the phone, follow the prompts on the display, entering the lock code when prompted. For more information, refer to "Security" on page 66.
