Settings Filter control This function allows you to schedule a filter cleaning task. Select Filter control from the Setting menu and Yes in the confirmation box, or press the FILTER button on the remote control for approximately 5 seconds. ✔Note • The filter cleaning icon and "Cleaning is scheduled" message disappear 4 seconds after a filter cleaning task was scheduled. • If a filter cleaning task is discontinued during the filter cleaning process, the filter cleaning unit resumes cleaning where it left off when the projector is turned on again. • A filter cleaning task cannot be scheduled while filter cleaning is in progress. • Normally, the filter cleaning unit automatically starts cleaning the mesh filter either while cooling down the projector after the power was turned off or after restarting the projector. • The Filter control function is not available when you use an optional smoke resistant filter. A confirmation box appears and then select Yes. Fan control Choose the running speed of cooling fans from the following options. Normal...... Operates in this mode under normal conditions. Max.......... Use this mode when you want to increase the cooling effect when operating the projector in high ambient temperature environment. Fan noise is louder than Normal. The filter cleaning icon and "Cleaning is scheduled" message appear. Remote control The eight different remote control codes (Code 1-Code 8) are assigned to the projector; the factory-set, initial code (Code 1) and the other seven codes (Code 2 to Code 8). The same code should be set on both the projector and the remote control. For example, operating the projector in Code 7, the remote control code also must be switched to Code 7. To change the code for the projector: Select a remote control code in this Setting Menu. To change the code for the remote control: Press and hold the MENU button and a number button (1-8) on the remote control for more than five seconds to switch between the codes. See "Remote Control Codes" on page 16. ✔Note • When different codes are set on the projector and on the remote control, any operation cannot be made. In that case, switch the code on the remote control to fit the code on the projector. • If the batteries are removed from the remote control for a long period of time, the remote control code will be reset. 62
