CONFIDENTIAL 16. SIM CARD IS NOT RECOGNIZED. Replace the SIM card. Is it recognized? NO Is 2.85 V supplied from pins 1, 2, and 6 of the SIM card? And is periodic pulse wave (3.25 MHz) sent from pin 3 of the SIM card? NO Is 2.85 V supplied from CN104 pin 28? YES Is 2.85 V supplied from CN104 pin 30? YES Is periodic pulse wave sent from CN104 pin 31? YES Is 2.85 V supplied from CN104 pin 27? YES CN104 or SD/SIM FPC is defective. YES SIM card is defective or not the one specified. Hereafter, check the signal waveform of each SIM when the power is turned on without a SIM card inserted. (SIM signal waveform appears for approx. 70 ms after the power is turned on.) YES The contact point of the SIM card connector is deformed or dirty. Replace C210 or C159. NO NO Are C210 and C159 good in appearance and mounted properly? YES IC103 is defective. Replace R195 or C216. NO NO Are R195 and C216 good in appearance and mounted properly? YES IC106 is defective. Replace R164 or C217. NO NO Are R164 and C217 good in appearance and mounted properly? YES IC106 is defective. Replace R163, R249, or C218. NO NO Are R163, R249, and C218 good in appearance and mounted properly? IC106 is defective. YES 17. SD (MEMORY) CARD IS NOT RECOGNIZED. Is the SD card checked for operation? NO YES Is the SD card recognized on PC, etc.? YES Is the card insertion detected? NO YES Is 2.75 V or more applied to VAPP? NO YES NO Can the SD card be formatted? YES After formatting, can the SD card be used? NO YES File system on the SD card is damaged. Use an SD card that has been checked. Is SD/SIM FPC properly inserted to CN104? YES NO Reinsert SD/SIM FPC, and try again. Does the signal of SD_DET become "L" when the card is inserted? YES NO IC106 is defective. SD card socket and CN104 are in poor contact. Hardwiring on PWB is broken. IC103 or Q103 is defective. SD card socket and CN104 are in poor contact. SD_CLK, SD_CMD, and SD_DAT [3:0] on PWB are broken or short-circuited. IC106 is defective or has come off. IC106 is defective or has come off.
