Troubleshooting Engine runs, Transmission release levers in PUSH but rider will not positions. drive. Drive belt slips. Belt is broken. Parking brake is not fully released. Parking brake will not hold. Rider steers or handles poorly. Parking brake is incorrectly adjusted. Improper tire inflation. Steering linkage is loose. Rider tracks to Ground speed adjustment knobs not one side. adjusted. Move levers to DRIVE positions. Clean or replace belt as necessary. Replace drive belt. Contact your local authorized dealer. Contact your local authorized dealer. See Service & Adjustments Section. See Maintenance Section. Check and tighten any loose connections. See SPEED BALANCING ADJUSTMENT in Service & Adjustments section. Always set engine speed to FAST when mowing. Decrease Ground Speed. Cut tall grass at maximum cutting height during first pass. Underside of mower deck dirty. Remove mower deck and clean underside. Discharge chute jamming with cut grass. Excessive Blade mounting nuts are loose. mower vibration. Mower blades, arbors, or pulleys are bent. Cut grass with discharge pointing toward previously cut area. Torque as per instructions. See Maintenance Section. Check and replace as necessary. Mower blades are out of balance. Belt installed incorrectly. Replace or balance blades. See Maintenance Section. Reinstall correctly. Mower drive belt Idler pulley spring broken or not properly slips or fails to attached. drive.
