Connecting and Setting Up the DTV Connecting Two VCRs for Tape Editing Connecting two VCRs together, then into the DTV, allows you to switch between the two to be sure that what you are playing on one is recording on the other. 1 Using an A/V cable, connect the playback VCR's Audio and Video OUT jacks to the recording VCR's Audio and Video IN jacks. 2 Using an A/V cable, connect the recording VCR's Audio and Video OUT jacks to the DTV's Audio and Video IN jacks. To do tape editing ❑ Set the DTV to the video input intended for playback by pressing the TV/VIDEO button on the remote control. ✍ If the VCRs you are connecting have S VIDEO jacks, you can use S VIDEO cables for improved picture quality (compared to a combination audio/video cable). Because S VIDEO cables carry only the video signal, you will also need audio cables for sound. 17
