Sound Settings Using the Menus Using the Menus Antenna Sound To display the Sound settings, see "Navigating Through Settings" Exit: MENU (see page 32). Sound Mode Reset Treble Bass Balance Steady Sound Volume Offset Surround BBE Custom 0 0 0 Off 0 Off Off Option Sound Mode Reset Treble Bass Balance Steady Sound Volume Offset Surround BBE MTS Enjoy stereo, bilingual and mono programs Description Dynamic Select to enhance treble and bass. Standard Suitable for spoken dialog. Custom Flat setting. Allows you to store your preferred settings. ✍ You can set up a Sound Mode (Dynamic, Standard, Custom) independently for the TV input and for each video input (Video 1 to Video 8). Your Sound Mode settings are automatically saved upon selection. Reset the following options to the default value: Treble, Bass, Balance, Steady Sound, Volume Offset, Surround and BBE. Adjust to increase or decrease higher-pitched sounds. Adjust to increase or decrease lower-pitched sounds. Adjust to emphasize left or right speaker balance. On Select to stabilize the volume across all programs and commercials. Off Select to turn off Steady Sound. Adjust the volume level of the current input (TV or video input) relative to other inputs. TruSurround XT Select for surround sound (for stereo programs only). Off Select for normal stereo or mono reception. Select to give sound more impact by compensating for phase effects in speakers. Select from High, Low and Off. ✍ BBE is only available when Sound Mode is set to Custom. Stereo Select for stereo reception when viewing a program broadcast in stereo. Auto SAP Select to automatically switch to second audio programs when a signal is received. If no SAP signal is present, the TV remains in Stereo mode. Mono Select for mono reception. Use to reduce noise during weak stereo broadcasts. ✍ MTS is available only for analog programs. (Continued) 35
