Adjusting the Shutter Speed Steps to configure Shutter Speed priority exposure are described here.  Press PROGRAM AE  to set the IRIS, Gain (ISO), Shutter Speed and Exposure to [Auto].  Press SHUTTER SPEED  to set the mode to manual. Pressing SHUTTER SPEED  switches the setting mode between automatic and manual.  Rotate the MANUAL dial  to adjust the Shutter Speed.  Tips  Changing the Shutter Speed affects how a moving subject appears. Set a fast Shutter Speed to shoot a fast moving subject clearly without blur. Conversely, set a slow Shutter Speed to emphasize the impression of movement.  You can set the Shutter Speed between 1/4 second and 1/10000 second in 60p movie mode (NEX-VG900), 1/3 second and 1/10000 second in 50p movie mode (NEX-VG900E), or 30 seconds and 1/8000 second in photo mode.  It is difficult to focus automatically at a lower Shutter Speed. Manual focusing with your camcorder attached to a tripod is recommended.  When recording under fluorescent lamps, sodium lamps, mercury lamps, or LED lighting, the picture may have horizontal bands of noise. You may be able to improve the situation by adjusting the Shutter Speed. To adjust the Shutter Speed automatically Press SHUTTER SPEED  again. appears next to the Shutter Speed value.
