Language Setting You can select the language to be used on the LCD screen.  Tips  Your camcorder offers [ENG[SIMP]] (simplified English) for when you cannot find your native tongue among the options.  Notes  You should update only when using the AC Adaptor. Otherwise, we recommend using a fully charged battery.  The version of the lens may not be displayed in any mode other than shooting mode. If you select [OK] in the [24p Mode] screen, the camcorder reboots in 24p mode. When you select [OK] in the [Cancel 24p Mode] screen, the camcorder reboots in 50i mode.  Notes  You cannot save 24p movies on a memory card recorded by PAL-based system. You need another memory card.  When you have activated [24p Mode], the movie recording format is limited to AVCHD 24p (FX, FH). The format of the video signal output from the camcorder is NTSC color. Images may not be played back normally, depending on the connected TV.  When you have activated [24p Mode], you cannot set [ / Setting] to [ STD Quality] or you cannot use [ Frame Rate]. Battery Info  Date & Time Format You can select one from 4 types of date and time format.  Daylight Savings/Summer Time You can change this setting without stopping the clock.
