0030 1. Overview Features Features of the unit The unit has the following features. XAVC Long 422 codec The XAVC Long 422 codec delivers high-quality recording at QFHD resolution (3840×2160), 10-bit quantization, 50P/59.94P frame rate, and recording rate of 200 Mbps, using MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 High 4:2:2 Profile, Level 5.2 video compression. It supports 16-channel high-fidelity audio recording using 24-bit quantization, 48 kHz sampling rate, uncompressed PCM recording method. 1920×1080 50i/50P/59.94i/59.94P monitor output is supported using a HD downconvert function. You can set the Opto-Electrical Transfer Function (OETF) of the Video Payload ID (VPID) output and the color space used for baseband recording and playback. The input VPID, Standard Dynamic Range (SDR), S-Log3, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), or Perceptual Quantization (PQ) can be selected for the OETF. SSD internal storage Long duration recording The unit is equipped with SSD internal storage. The SSD has 2 TB capacity for storing data and can store approximately 20 hours of recording when using XAVC-L 200 Mbps recording format. Reliability The internal storage of the unit can be configured as RAID 1 for improved reliability.1) 1) When the PZWK-4020 (option) is installed (set maintenance menu item D11: RAID to "RAID") Multitasking operation Chase playback function Chase playback of material is supported during recording. Multi-session network connection and chase transfer function Up to five sessions can be controlled individually using the FTP protocol. You can also use the FTP protocol to transfer material being recorded (chase transfer function). Multifunction operation You can perform the following operations in parallel on individual clips. ˎˎRecording to and playback from internal storage ˎˎUpload to and download from each media via FTP connection ˎˎCopying between each media Recording and playback functions Multi codec support In addition to the XAVC Long 422 codec, XAVC QFHD Intra Class 300 is also supported. On SxS memory cards, XAVC QFHD Long 150 playback is supported in addition to the above codecs. This allows flexible operation to match the application or recording time constraints. Multi frame frequency support The unit supports 50 Hz / 50P and 59.94 Hz / 59.94P. Simultaneous recording to internal storage and SxS memory card/USB drive The unit can simultaneously record to internal storage and SxS memory cards or USB drives (page 30). HD downconvert function 1920×1080 50i/50P or 59.94i/59.94P monitor output is supported using an HD downconvert function. Fast search using shuttle/jog dial You can search for specific scenes within a clip/ EDL in internal storage or on an SxS memory card using the shuttle/jog dial in the same way as for a conventional VTR. In variable-speed mode, frame advance search can be performed in units of frames in the range -2 times to +2 times normal speed. In shuttle mode, fast search at speeds up to ±20 times is supported. Search function The unit supports thumbnail search and other search functions. Networking File transfer function High-speed file transfer of video, audio, and metadata files in internal storage using standard protocols, such as FTP, is supported by installing the PZWK-4030F (option). To enable this function, set maintenance menu item M14: OPTION SETTING >OPT BOARD 1 to "10GbE". When the PZWK-4030F is not installed, file transfer is still supported using the Gigabit Ethernet connector fitted as standard on the unit. Network control You can control the unit via a network using network remote connections. It features a highspeed network interface with external devices, and supports remote control from conventional RS422 remote control connectors by various other applications for acquisition of file lists and display of thumbnails. Use the network remote function within a secure environment. SNMP support for maintenance and service The unit supports the SNMP-compliant Sony remote maintenance system. The system supports realtime monitoring and recording of hardware status via a network. SNMP V1 and V3 can be selected. When SNMP V1 is selected, use within a secure environment. Multi-use support with various interfaces Color LCD display The unit is equipped with a 16:9 4.3-inch color LCD display for displaying menu items and the status of the unit. Front panel with angle adjustment function The angle of the front panel can be adjusted for easy rack-mount and desktop operation, and for ease-of-use of the operation buttons. Support for various interfaces The unit supports the following input/output signals. ˎˎ12G-SDI video, 16-channel audio input ˎˎ12G-SDI video, 16-channel audio output ˎˎ12G-SDI video, 16-channel audio monitor output ˎˎ3G-SDI video, 16-channel audio input ˎˎ3G-SDI video, 16-channel audio output ˎˎ3G-SDI video, 16-channel audio monitor output ˎˎAES/EBU digital, 8-channel audio input/output ˎˎAnalog, 4-channel audio input ˎˎAnalog, 2-channel audio monitor output ˎˎTimecode input/output ˎˎSystem TC input ˎˎRJ-45 (supports remote control using VDCP 1), in addition to Sony 9-pin VTR protocol) 2) 1) In addition to internal storage, control of SxS memory cards via VDCP is supported by setting maintenance menu item M39C: VDCP TARGET to "ALL". 2) Using RJ-45 to D-Sub adapter cable (1-848-424-12) ˎˎGPIO (D-Sub 25-pin) The following four types of 3G-SDI×4 input/output can be selected. ˎˎ2-Sample Interleave division (2SI) Level-A ˎˎ2SI Level-B ˎˎSQuare Division (SQD) Level-A ˎˎSQD Level-B
