1 138BA006K 138BA005K 138BA007K 6 • Turn twist lock above rear 5 handle 90° counterclockwise. • Lift off the carburetor box cover vertically. 138BA003K In case of stubborn dirt: • Wash the filter parts in STIHL universal cleaner or in a fresh, nonflammable cleaning solution (e.g.warm soapy water). Dry all parts. 2 • Take the shutter out of the carburetor box cover and slide it into the slot at the bottom end of the carburetor box cover. • Always replace a damaged filter • element. Reinstall the filter. Refit the filter and carburetor box cover and secure it with the twist lock: Heated air is now drawn in from around the cylinder and mixed with cold air to help prevent carburetor icing.
