English Cleaning the Air Filter Engine Management Adjusting the Carburetor If there is a noticeable loss of engine power N Simultaneously press the throttle trigger lockout and throttle trigger and set the Master Control lever to cold start l N Remove the shroud - see "Shroud" Exhaust emissions are controlled by the design of the fundamental engine parameters and components (e.g. carburation, ignition, timing and valve or port timing) without the addition of any major hardware. Basic information The carburetor has been factoryadjusted to provide the engine with a optimal fuel-air mixture in all operating states. 143BA054 ST 143BA048 KN N Pull the filter upwards to remove N Wash the filter in a clean, non- flammable cleaning liquid (e. g., warm soapy water) and dry it Always replace a damaged filter. N Reinstall air filter 38 LD Standard setting N Check the air filter and replace if necessary N Check spark arresting screen - clean or replace it if necessary N Carefully screw the idle speed screw (LD) down counterclockwise (left-hand thread) until it is firmly seated, then 2 turns clockwise (standard setting LD = 2) MS 170, MS 170 C, MS 180, MS 180 C
