N Place a ruler on the front edge of the blade and measure how far it has been filed back. Blade thickness must not be less than a = 0.06 in (1.6 mm) at any point. Cutting edges may be filed back no more than b = 0.2 in (5 mm). N Use a caliper gauge to check blade thickness at a minimum of 5 different points. N Place a ruler on the rear edge of the blade and measure how far it has been filed back. Blade thickness must not be less than a = 0.06 in (1.6 mm) at any point.
