TV/VCR SECTION SPECIAL PLAYBACK RENTAL PLAYBACK TV/VCR This function enables you to improve the picture quality when playing back worn cassettes such as rented tapes. 1 Press [SET-UP]. Use [K / L] to point to "USER'S SET UP", then press [ENTER]. 2 Use [K / L] to point to "RENTAL". Press [ENTER] to select "ON". - TV/VCR SETUP - TIMER PROGRAMMING SETTING CLOCK CHANNEL SET UP B USER'S SET UP V-CHIP SET UP LANGUAGE [ENGLISH] CAPTION [OFF] ZERO RETURN TIME SEARCH INDEX SEARCH - USER'S SET UP - B RENTAL REPEAT PLAY AUTO RETURN [ON] [OFF] [OFF] NOTE: • To cancel the setting, select "OFF" at this step. 3 Press [SET-UP] to exit the menu. 4 Press [PLAY B] to start playback. RENTAL PLAY B NOTE: • This setting will not change even if you turn off the unit. AUTO REPEAT PLAYBACK TV/VCR This function allows you to repeat a tape indefinitely. 1 Press [SET-UP]. - TV/VCR SETUP - Use [K / L] to point to TIMER PROGRAMMING SETTING CLOCK CHANNEL SET UP "USER'S SET UP", then press B USER'S SET UP V-CHIP SET UP [ENTER]. LANGUAGE [ENGLISH] CAPTION [OFF] ZERO RETURN TIME SEARCH INDEX SEARCH 2 Use [K / L] to point to "REPEAT PLAY". Press [ENTER] repeatedly - USER'S SET UP - until your desired selection "ALL" or "BLANK" appears. RENTAL B REPEAT PLAY AUTO RETURN [OFF] [ALL] [OFF] • ALL: Repeat playback from the beginning to the end of the tape. • BLANK: Repeat playback from the beginning to a part, which is blank for more than 10 seconds. • OFF: Cancel repeat playback. 3 Press [SET-UP] to exit the menu. 4 Press [PLAY B] to start the Repeat Play. REPEAT PLAY B NOTES: • If the rental mode is set to "ON", "RENTAL PLAY B" display has priority. • This setting will not change even if you turn off the unit. SEARCH FUNCTION ZERO RETURN TV/VCR This function allows you to search easily a beginning point that you want to review by rewinding or fast forwarding. NOTE: • Zero Return WILL NOT work on a blank tape or a blank portion of a tape. 1 Rewind or forward the tape to the beginning point at which you want to review. 2 Press [CLEAR] repeatedly to set the counter to "0:00:00". COUNT 0:00:00 3 Press [PLAY B] for playback or [REC] for recording. Press [STOP C] when playback or recording is completed. 4 Press [SET-UP]. Use [K / L] to point to "ZERO RETURN", then press [ENTER]. The unit will begin rewinding - TV/VCR SETUP - TIMER PROGRAMMING SETTING CLOCK CHANNEL SET UP USER'S SET UP V-CHIP SET UP LANGUAGE [ENGLISH] CAPTION [OFF] B ZERO RETURN TIME SEARCH INDEX SEARCH and the counter will appear on the TV screen. The tape will automatically stop when the counter returns to 0:00:00 (approx.). 16 EN
