3 Manage your Network in Controller Mode For a large-scale network which has mass EAPs and advanced functions are required, controller mode is recommended. Controller mode allows you to configure and automatically synchronize unified wireless settings to all EAPs in the network. Omada app offers a convenient way to access the Omada Controller and adopt EAP devices. With Local Access and Cloud Access function on the Omada app, you can manage the controller at local and remote sites. Note Omada Controller needs to be kept running when using Omada app to access the controller. 3.1 Locally manage your EAPs using the Omada App Local Access function on Omada app is designed for accessing the controller which is in the same subnet with your mobile devices. Refer to the topology below, make sure that the following requirements have been met: ·An Ethernet connection from your Omada EAP device to the LAN with DHCP. ·The version of the Omada Controller is 3.0.2 or above. ·A compatible iOS or Android device with Omada app. Internet Router Switch Omada Controller Omada Controller Software running the Management PC EAP EAP EAP Mobile Device Installed with Omada App Follow the steps below to manage your network via Omada app in controller mode locally.
