Global variable and macro descriptions in Appendix B and Appendix C state in their assumptions if Access_AMS_Global_Variables must be defined. This means that macro Access_AMS_Global_Variables must be placed in the declaration section of the block containing the global variable or macro reference. Any global OS variables may be accessed or modified within the scope of a block containing a Access_AMS_Global_Variables declaration.
