Appendix A: System Routines - Expression Evaluation / 544 Algebraic Simplification push_equals Declaration: void push_equals (EStackIndex i, EStackIndex j) Category(ies): Expression Evaluation / Algebraic Simplification Description: Pushes onto the estack the internally-simplified equivalent of the equality (expression i) = (expression j). To accommodate stepping through equation solving, the simplification is merely a comparison of the two sides for the default IS_AUTO_SOLVE_OFF. If the result is neither a TRUE_TAG nor a FALSE_TAG, the result could be true for some values of the variables therein but false for other values. Alternatively the simplification might not be powerful enough to determine that the result is always true or always false. Inputs: i, j - Indices of the top tags of an internally-simplified expressions, strings, or aggregates thereof. Outputs: None Assumptions: None Side Effects: None Availability: On AMS 2.02 and higher. TI-89 / TI-92 Plus Differences: None See Also: push_not_equals, push_greater_than, push_less_than, push_greater_than_or_equals, push_less_than_or_equals, Example: push_quantum_as_nonnegative_int (3u); right_side = top_estack; push_quantum (8u); push_equals (top_estack, right_side); /* Push variable x */ /* push x = 3 */ TI-89 / TI-92 Plus Developer Guide Not for Distribution Beta Version January 26, 2001
