Notes • To record a high quality picture, select "MN" to raise a bit rate. The higher the bit rate, the better the picture quality is, but the shorter the recording length becomes. We recommend that you set this between 6.0 Mbps and 6.8 Mbps. • You can change the combination of picture and audio quality settings also by displaying the Quick Menu on LIBRARY MENU or in stop mode, then selecting "User Record Quality". Either of the above methods updates the setting of this recorder. • If you set "SP" or "LP", you cannot select "L-PCM". • Depending on the audio quality settings, the upper limit for the picture quality setting differs. • You can adjust the manual rate for picture quality by 0.2 Mbps from 2.0 to 9.2. (You cannot set the rate from 1.4 to 2.0.) 46
