Learning the Basics Starting an app 65 Starting an app To start an app, click the Start ( ) button in the lower-left corner of the Desktop or press the Windows ( ) key. The Most used list on the left side of the Start screen displays the apps most often used on your computer. Click the All apps ( ) icon to display a list of all apps installed on your computer. This list appears in alphabetical order. Click the Back ( ) icon to return to the Most used list. You may also enter your search in the Search field. Saving your work Before you turn off the computer using the Shut down command, save your work on the internal storage drive, external media, flash media, or optical disc.
