(For details, refer to the corresponding descriptions on pages 48 and 49.) q If desired, you can create your own sound field taste. (For details, refer to pages 56 to 60.) Notes q Program selection can be made to individual input sources. Once you select a program, it is linked with the input source selected at that time. So, when you select the same input source next time, the same program is automatically called. q If you prefer to cancel the DSP, press the EFFECT button. The sound will be the normal 2-channel stereo without surround sound effect. q When a monaural sound source is played with the program DOLBY/DTS SURROUND, no sound is heard from the main speakers and the rear speakers. Sound is heard only from the center speaker. However, if the function "1A. CENTER SP" in the SET MENU mode is set in the "NONE" position, the main speakers output the sound of the center channel. q When this unit's Dolby Pro Logic Surround decoder, Dolby Digital decoder or DTS decoder is used, if the main-source sound is considerably altered by overadjustment of the BASS or TREBLE control, the relationship between the center and rear channels may produce an unnatural effect. q When a source of signals input to the EXTERNAL DECODER INPUT terminals of this unit is selected, the DSP cannot be used and the EFFECT button also will not function. 46
