Playback Settings Playback Settings Changing the playback speed You can decrease or increase the playback speed, if necessary. This is useful if you want to listen carefully to complex musical parts or to skip quickly through unimportant parts of a recorded meeting. 1. During playback, press the [PLAY/SPEED ] button. Each press of the button will cycle through three playback speeds: PLAY (normal), SLOW and FAST. The corresponding playback speed indicator appears on the screen. Playback speed (FAST) The playback speed varies with the file format as follows: Indicator MP3 WMA PLAY (normal) none 100% 100% SLOW S 70% 70% FAST F 150% 120% The recorder remembers the changed playback speed after the playback is stopped, and will use that speed for the next playback operation. However, the playback speed will be reset to "normal" when the power is turned off. Note: · You can change the speed only for playback of MP3 and WMA files. You cannot change the speed for playback of PCM (WAV) files. · Some files may not play correctly when the playback speed is changed. POCKETRAK CX Reference Manual 29
