Chapter 6 Broadband 6.5.1 Edit 802.1x Settings Use this screen to edit a 802.1x authentication's settings. Click the Edit icon next to the rule you want to edit. The screen shown next appears. Figure 29 802.1x: Add/Edit The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 15 802.1x: Add/Edit LABEL Active DESCRIPTION This field allows you to activate/deactivate the authentication. Interface EAP Identity EAP method Enable Bidirectional Authentication Certificate Trusted CA Apply Cancel Select this to enable the authentication. Clear this to disable this authentication without having to delete the entry. Select the interface that uses the authentication. Enter the EAP identity of the authentication. This is the EAP method used for this authentication. Select this to allow bidirectional authentication. Select the certificate you want to assign to the authentication. You need to import the certificate in the Security > Certificates > Local Certificates screen. Select the Trusted CA you want to assign to the authentication. You need to import the certificate in the Security > Certificates > Trusted CA screen. Click Apply to save your changes. Click Cancel to exit this screen without saving. 6.6 Technical Reference The following section contains additional technical information about the Device features described in this chapter. Encapsulation Be sure to use the encapsulation method required by your ISP. The Device can work in bridge mode or routing mode. When the Device is in routing mode, it supports the following methods.
