Air Cleaner Element (6-cylinder Models) Replacement BOLTS The air cleaner element is inside the air cleaner housing on the driver's side of the engine compartment. To replace it: HOSE AIR CLEANER ELEMENT 1. Disconnect the hose from the air cleaner housing cover with flattipped screwdriver. 2. Loosen the four bolts, and remove the air cleaner housing cover. 3. Remove the old air cleaner element. 4. Carefully clean the inside of the air cleaner housing with a damp rag. 5. Place the new air cleaner element in the air cleaner housing. 6. Reinstall the air cleaner housing cover, and tighten the four bolts. 7. Connect the hose to the air cleaner housing cover with a flattipped screwdriver. 288 Maintenance

Place the new air cleaner element
in the air cleaner housing.
Reinstall the air cleaner housing
cover, and tighten the four bolts.
The air cleaner element is inside the

side of the engine compartment.
To replace it:

cleaner housing cover with flat-
tipped screwdriver.
