NOTE qRear Door Child Safety Locks These locks are intended to help prevent children from accidentally opening the sliding doors. Use them both whenever a child rides in the vehicle. To lock the sliding doors, slide the child safety locks to the lock position before closing the doors. (Without power sliding doors) When closing the sliding door from the fully-opened position and from outside the vehicle, pull the outside door handle outward to release the latch and slide the door in the forward direction. Unlock Lock With power sliding doors The doors cannot be opened using the interior door handles or the power sliding door switches in the rear. To open a door, pull the door-lock knob and do any one of the following: l l Pull the exterior door handle. Push the power sliding door button on the transmitter for one second or more. Push the power sliding door switch located at the driver's seat for one second or more (page 3-12). l Without power sliding doors The doors cannot be opened from the inside whether the door-lock knobs are in the lock position or the unlock position. To open a door, pull the door-lock knob and pull the exterior handle. 3-11 Form No.8T50-EA-04G
