Move the water shield toward the center of the vehicle until there is enough clearance to remove it. Removing the water shield 3. Remove the old filter by sliding it forward out of the plastic tray then towards the center of the vehicle until there is enough clearance to remove it. Install the new filter by compressing it and sliding it into the plastic tray. Push the left rear corner back and down to seat it in the tray.
