INSTRUMENT PANEL CD OPERATION 1) Press the power button to turn the audio system on. 2) Insert a CD into the CD slot with its label side up. The player will begin playing the first track. 3) If a CD is already inserted in the CD slot, press the CD button. The player will play the last position you listened to. 4) To eject the CD, press the CD eject button. If the ejected disc is not taken out of the CD player within 10 seconds, the CD will automatically load again. After the CD is ejected, the audio system will change to the last mode used (radio or tape). The CD disc can be also ejected when the CD eject button is pressed with the ignition turned off. 5) You can listen to the radio or a tape by pressing the AM/FM or TAPE button while a CD is playing. CD Player-On Function To play a CD when the radio or cassette player is operating, and a CD is already inserted in the player, press the CD playeron button. The mode is changed to the CD mode and the CD will play the last track you listened to. If a CD is not in the CD player, the mode is not changed to the CD mode. Fast Forward / Rewind Function To fast forward, press the fast forward button. To rewind, press the rewind button. When the disc reaches the desired point, release the button and normal playback will resume. Track Up / Down Function The track up/down button makes it easy to play back the current track again or skip to the next or previous track. To play back the next track, press the track up button once. Each time you press this button, the disc will repeatedly skip to the next track. To play back the current track again, press the track down button once. If you press this button again, the disc will skip to the previous track. To quickly skip tracks, keep the track up or down button pressed and release it when it reaches the desired track. Random Button (RDM) To play a CD in random order, press the RDM button. "RDM" will display. To cancel this function, press this button again. NOTE: When operating the random function, tracks will be skipped in random order. CD & SOUND OPERATION Introduction Function (INT) To scan the CD, press the "INT" button. The "INT" indicator will appear on the VFD and the player will playback the first 10 seconds of every track. This introduction function will be automatically canceled when scanning returns to the beginning of the track where it started. When the player reaches the desired track, press this button again. Then, this function will be canceled and the player will resume normal play. Repeat Function (RPT) To repeatedly listen to the current track, press the "RPT" button. The "RPT" indicator will be illuminated on the VFD and the current track will be played back repeatedly until this function is canceled. To cancel this function, press this button again. Random Function (RDM) To play back the tracks on the CD in random order, press the "RDM" button. The "RDM" indicator will be illuminated on the VFD. After playing back the current track, the CD will be played back in a random order until this function is canceled. To cancel this function, press this button again. 3-37

CD OPERATION
1) Press the power button to turn the
audio system on.
2) Insert a CD into the CD slot with its
label side up.
The player will begin playing the first
track.
3) If a CD is already inserted in the CD
slot, press the CD button.
The player will play the last position you
listened to.
4) To eject the CD, press the CD eject
button.
If the ejected disc is not taken out of the
CD player within 10 seconds, the CD
will automatically load again.
After the CD is ejected, the audio sys-
tem will change to the last mode used
(radio or tape).
The CD disc can be also ejected when
the CD eject button is pressed with the
ignition turned off.

You can listen to the radio or a tape by
pressing the AM/FM or TAPE button
while a CD is playing.
CD Player-On Function
To play a CD when the radio or cassette
player is operating, and a CD is already
inserted in the player, press the CD player-
on button. The mode is changed to the CD
mode and the CD will play the last track
you listened to.
If a CD is not in the CD player, the mode is
not changed to the CD mode.
Fast Forward / Rewind Function
To fast forward, press the fast forward but-
ton.
To rewind, press the rewind button. When
the disc reaches the desired point, release
the button and normal playback will
resume.
Track Up / Down Function
The track up/down button makes it easy to
play back the current track again or skip to
the next or previous track.
To play back the next track, press the track
up button once.
Each time you press this button, the disc
will repeatedly skip to the next track.
To play back the current track again, press
the track down button once.
If you press this button again, the disc will
skip to the previous track.
To quickly skip tracks, keep the track up or
down button pressed and release it when it
reaches the desired track.
Random Button (RDM)
To play a CD in random order, press the
RDM button. “RDM” will display.
To cancel this function, press this button
again.
NOTE:
When operating the random function,
tracks will be skipped in random order.
CD & SOUND OPERATION
Introduction Function (INT)
To scan the CD, press the “INT” button.
The “INT” indicator will appear on the VFD
and the player will playback the first 10
seconds of every track.
This introduction function will be automati-
cally canceled when scanning returns to
the beginning of the track where it started.
When the player reaches the desired track,
press this button again.
Then, this function will be canceled and
the player will resume normal play.
Repeat Function (RPT)
To repeatedly listen to the current track,
press the “RPT” button.
The “RPT” indicator will be illuminated on
the VFD and the current track will be
played back repeatedly until this function is
canceled.
To cancel this function, press this button
again.
Random Function (RDM)
To play back the tracks on the CD in ran-
dom order, press the “RDM” button. The
“RDM” indicator will be illuminated on the
VFD.
After playing back the current track, the
CD will be played back in a random order
until this function is canceled.
To cancel this function, press this button
again.
