iPod/iPhone Connection (sold separately) 1 Connect USB cable to an iPod/iPhone with Interface cable for iPod. Remove the iPod/iPhone Remove the iPod/iPhone from Interface cable for iPod. Connect USB cable to an iPod/iPhone with Interface cable
for iPod.

Connect the USB cable to the USB connector of this unit.
When connect to Front USB Connection Terminal

Open the cover of the USB Connection Terminal.

Connect the Interface cable for iPod directly to the USB
Connection Terminal, or via the USB cable.
When connect to Rear USB Connector (CDE-123
only)
Connect the USB cable to the Rear USB connector of the unit, and then
secure the connection using the lock case supplied with USB cable as
shown below.
Remove the iPod/iPhone
Remove the iPod/iPhone from Interface cable for iPod.
Notes
This unit can charge the iPod/iPhone of the current source, and it may
stop charging when another source is switched.
After changing the unit to a source other than the USB iPod, remove the
iPod/iPhone. If the iPod/iPhone is removed in the USB iPod mode, data
may cause damage.
If sound is not output or the iPod/iPhone is not recognized even when
the iPod/iPhone is connected, remove the iPod/iPhone once, then
connect it again, or reset the iPod.
Do not leave the iPod/iPhone in a vehicle for a long time. Heat and
humidity may damage the iPod/iPhone and you may not be able to play
it again.
Connect Flash Memory
Connect the USB cable to the Rear USB connector of the unit, and then
secure the connection using the lock case supplied with USB cable as
shown below.
Remove Flash Memory
Pull out Flash Memory squarely from the USB cable.
Notes
When removing Flash Memory, pull it out straight.
If sound is not output or Flash Memory is not recognized even when
Flash Memory is connected, remove Flash Memory once, then connect
it again.
Change to a source other than the Flash Memory mode, then remove
the Flash Memory. If the Flash Memory is removed in the Flash
Memory mode, data may be damaged.
Route the USB cable away from another cables.
