3. Names and Functions of Parts This section describes the name and function of each part. Make sure to read this section and familiarize yourself with the parts of the scanner before using the scanner. „ Top View Document Feed Tray Open this tray to place your documents into the feeder. (See p. 21.) Document Guide Adapter Adjust this adapter to the width of the document. (See p. 22.) Document Eject Stopper Use this to prevent scanned documents from falling off the scanner. (See p. 22.) Document Eject Opening Scanned documents are output to the Document Eject Opening. (See p. 22.) Feeder Documents placed in the feeder are automatically fed sheet by sheet to the scanning glass for scanning. Feeder Cover Open this to remove jammed paper or clean the inside of the scanner. (See p. 42.) Operation Panel Includes the keys and LCD display required for operating the scanner. (See p. 14.) Power Indicator Lights green when the scanner is turned ON.
