69 Commonly Used Shooting Functions Using the Digital Zoom/ Digital Tele-Converter Available Shooting Modes p. 300 You can combine digital zoom with optical zoom when shooting. The available shooting characteristics and focal lengths (35mm film equivalent) are as follows. Selection Standard Off 1.7x 2.2x Focal Length Shooting Characteristics 28 - 560 mm Enables shooting at zoom factors of up to 20x with digital and optical zoom combined. 28 - 140 mm Enables shooting without digital zoom. Digital zoom is fixed at the selected zoom 47.6 - 238 mm factor, and the focal length shifts to maximum telephoto. This enables a faster shutter speed and less chance of camera shake than a shot 61.6 - 308 mm taken at the same angle of view with [Standard] or [Off].
