Resetting the File Number Shooting Mode Playback Mode The images you shoot are automatically assigned file numbers. You can select how the file number is assigned. 1 (Set up) Menu [Off]. (File No. Reset) See Menus and Settings (p. 23). [On]/ File No. Reset Function The file number is reset to the start (100-0001) each time a new On memory card is inserted. New images recorded on memory cards with existing files are assigned the next available number. The file number of the last image to be shot is memorized so that Off images recorded to a new memory card start from the next number.
